The Municipality of Trecastelli is pleased to announce the inauguration of the new nursery school “Il Castello dei Tesori”, located at Via Ponticelli no. 6/A, in the locality of Castel Colonna.
The official handover ceremony of the facility to the public will take place on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 6:00 PM, at the site of the building.
A strategic project for the area
The contract, awarded in June 2023 to the ATI Subissati – Bioedil consortium, called for the drafting of the final and executive design of the project and its subsequent construction.
The contract was completed in compliance with the established schedule, demonstrating the efficiency of public procurement management.
The construction of this school complex represents a significant investment for the community, aimed at offering young children a safe, modern environment focused on wellbeing.
Architectural excellence and sustainability
The project stands out for its use of wood as a building material. This choice, consistent with modern school construction policies, ensures high seismic performance, excellent environmental comfort, and a reduced ecological footprint. The building is classified as NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building), making it an example of energy efficiency and sustainability in line with the strictest European standards.
The facility, which covers an area of approximately 500 square meters on a single floor, was designed to promote educational activities and socialization. The complex is organized into two functional blocks:
– Operational area: includes the entrance, common classrooms, restrooms, and laundry room.
– Multipurpose area: dedicated to play space and dining hall.
The architectural design favors natural lighting, thanks to large glazed surfaces, and uses color and material solutions designed to make the spaces welcoming and stimulating, in harmony with the surrounding urban context.
A shared commitment to the future
The construction of “Il Castello dei Tesori” is part of a broader program of public works funded through PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) funds. This achievement was made possible thanks to the fruitful collaboration between the Municipal Administration, the multidisciplinary design team, and the contracting companies, who brought their technical expertise and well-established experience in school construction to ensure reliable timelines and excellent quality standards.
With this new infrastructure, the Municipality of Trecastelli reaffirms its commitment to childhood services, providing the area with a state-of-the-art, safe, and sustainable educational facility capable of supporting the growth of future generations with quality care.
