On Saturday, September 5, at 11 a.m., the inauguration of the new municipal nursery school will take place in the hamlet of Fanano Massignano-Gradara (PU), a 600-square-meter wooden building built by Subissati.

This will be an opportunity to discover how a fully accessible wooden space can influence the educational and pedagogical journey, as well as the wellbeing and growth of 60 children aged 0 to 3.
600 square meters, in fact, is the surface area dedicated to play, discovery and socializing, with functional spaces such as an equipped kitchen and an ample provision of green areas: a garden of about 1,600 square meters and an internal green area, designed to bring nature into everyday life as well.
The attention to sustainability, the environment and the relationship with nature also translates into high energy efficiency.
First and foremost, the use of glued laminated timber was chosen for its eco-compatible characteristics and its excellent thermal and acoustic insulation capabilities. This construction choice helps to reduce consumption and CO2 emissions, in line with the most advanced principles of sustainable building.
Furthermore, the new municipal wooden nursery school in Fanano is an nZEB building – nearly Zero Energy Building – designed according to criteria that minimize energy consumption and environmental impact, while ensuring high levels of comfort for children, educators and staff.
The building’s efficiency is supported by a photovoltaic system calibrated to power the heat pump, the controlled mechanical ventilation system and high-efficiency LED lighting.

The inauguration of this wooden structure marks an important new achievement for us at Subissati.
With over 60 school buildings completed, we are the company with the largest number of schools built with a load-bearing timber structure. Built in record time, these multi-functional structures are safe, eco-sustainable and low-energy, with excellent indoor microclimate comfort benefiting teachers, students and all staff.
The new municipal nursery school near Gradara thus represents a further step forward in school construction, combining build quality, sustainability, accessibility and attention to children’s needs, helping to support the growth and future of communities.

The inauguration comes right on the eve of the new educational year: starting September 14, the nursery will begin welcoming its young guests, giving life to a new place of encounter, learning and growth for the children and families of the Fanano Massignano area, in Gradara.
