Friday 9th July 2010 and Saturday 10th July saw a very positive outcome to the Technical Seminar “The design of wooden structures in accordance with NTC2008" held at the Musicians Hall of Hotel Federico II in Jesi (AN) on the Friday, and at our offices on the Saturday.
The conference discussed the matter of wood as a construction material, whose importance is being increasingly reconsidered. Indeed, with the introduction of the New Technical Regulations on Construction NTC 2008, providing guidelines for the design of wooden structures, makes up for the lack of regulations contained in Ministerial Decree 1996 where structural wood had not really been considered as a construction material.
The conference was organised by Subissati srl in collaboration with the Official Order of Engineers in the Province of Ancona.
