The new town hall of Gabicce mare (PU), developed in just six months, was opened on Saturday 27 October.
The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Gabicce mare, Domenico Pascuzzi, the Provincial authorities of Pesaro Urbino, the President of the Region Marche, Luca Ceriscioli, the Prefect, Carla Cincarilli, the President of Anci Marche, Maurizio Mangialardi, the Mayors of the surrounding municipalities, the Guardia di Finanza financial police force, the Carabinieri military police force, the navy and a great many local residents and proved to be an exciting, highly community-spirited occasion.
Francesco Subissati and Paolo Subissati also attended the ceremony, together with our company’s technical staff.
The municipal building is the first in Italy to be built entirely from wood and also the first to be classified as an “nZEB” (nearly zero energy building).
The town hall is structured over three floors for a total of almost 1400 m2 and pays particularly close attention to architectonic quality and urban décor, energy savings through the use of renewable sources and, last but not least, safety. Indeed, it is the first example in Italy for truly cutting-edge public building in terms of energy efficiency and seismic safety.
The building was constructed with "Platform Frame" building technology.
