On Saturday, March 14, 2026, the inauguration of the “Arcobaleno” preschool and the new multipurpose gymnasium within the same complex completes the handover to the community of Senigallia of the “Marchetti” complex. This project, carried out by the Subissati company, represents one of the most significant school building projects in the area. The project has already been partially restored with the inauguration of the “Marchetti” secondary school in September 2025.
The event, attended by the President of the Marche Region, Francesco Acquaroli, Mayor Massimo Olivetti, local authorities, school staff, and numerous citizens, marked the conclusion of a journey that began in March 2024.
Francesco Subissati, Paolo Subissati, and Matteo Subissati were also present at the ceremony. Francesco Subissati himself cut the ribbon to inaugurate the new “Marchetti” gymnasium, marking the final official handover of the project to the city. The Senigallia Athletics team, which our company sponsors, also attended.
With the handover of the final two buildings, which have been operational since January 2026, we at Subissati have completed a project that has transformed the Saline area into a modern, safe, and sustainable school campus, designed to support students from early childhood through adolescence.
A project completed quickly.
The school campus was built in about a year and a half through a public-private partnership project, with a total investment of €13 million from various funding sources: approximately €3 million from the Ministry of Education, €2 million from the Energy Services Manager (GSE), and the remainder supported by the Municipality of Senigallia.
The complex extends over a redeveloped area of over 18,500 square meters and includes:
– the “Marchetti” secondary school
– the “Arcobaleno” preschool
– the new “Marchetti” multipurpose gym
An integrated system of educational spaces designed to meet the needs of contemporary education and the community itself.
The value of wood and sustainability.
In the Marchetti school complex project, wood plays a key role, not only as a construction material but as a design choice that combines innovation, sustainability, and quality spaces.
The construction of energy-efficient and sustainable buildings reflects the community’s commitment to environmental sustainability. The use of eco-friendly materials and cutting-edge technologies helps reduce environmental impact and long-term operating costs.
This green approach not only improves air quality and reduces CO2 emissions, but also serves as an educational example for students, raising awareness of environmental issues and the importance of sustainable development.
Innovative spaces for teaching and sports.
The “Arcobaleno” preschool, relocated from the historic building on Via delle Rose, was designed according to the most modern pedagogical standards, with bright environments, multidisciplinary classrooms, and spaces dedicated to educational activities.
Next to the school is the new multipurpose gym, a CONI-approved facility measuring approximately 30 x 18 meters, designed to host various sports and intended for both school activities and for use by city sports clubs during after-school hours.
The structure is characterized by imposing wooden arches, a complex and high-quality workmanship that gives the gym a distinctive architectural identity, combining design, functionality, and sustainability.
An “out of the ordinary” school campus.
The quality and importance of this project were also emphasized by school principal Paola Filipponi, who called the new campus an “out of the ordinary school campus, an invaluable gift to the community,” emphasizing how students and staff feel fortunate to be able to live and work in such modern and functional spaces. These words testify to the value of an intervention capable of concretely improving the quality of educational environments and school life.
An investment in the community’s future.
The new Marchetti school complex not only meets the educational and sports needs of the city of Senigallia, but also represents a strategic investment in the sustainable future of the community.
Through the creation of modern, safe, and sustainable spaces, the project contributes to improving the quality of life of residents, while promoting the economic and social growth of the area.
For Subissati, this project represents a concrete example of how wooden buildings can create innovative public infrastructure, capable of combining construction quality, environmental sustainability, and value for the community.
