Work on new primary school nearing completion - Fermignano (PU)

Work on new primary school at Fermignano (PU) is nearing completion. The interior fittings are being completed while externally the building is finished.

The new school is built on one floor, covering an area of approximately 3200 square metres, and consists of 20 classrooms, 3 classrooms for laboratory activities (technology, science, art, etc.), a library, a 200 square metre assembly hall for recreational activities (music, theatre, dance, etc.) and a gymnasium with independent access.

The building, made entirely of laminated wood, was designed taking into account the standards imposed by the earthquake regulations and those in force for school buildings, at the same time pursuing both the improvement of its accessibility (with particular reference to access on foot) and its environmental sustainability through the use of materials and plant engineering systems aimed at obtaining adequate comfort with high energy performance.
