The aim of the "Casa da Mare" project, inaugurated a few days ago, is to develop the coastal and port areas for cultural, exhibition, dissemination (conference room, etc.), demonstration and promotional purposes, with particular reference to the products of small local fisheries.
After the fish market and the work on development of the outer port, the port of Della Rovere in Senigallia (AN ) is being enhanced with a new wooden structure that improves and takes to another level the redevelopment of the area undertaken many years ago.
The idea behind the project, promoted by the administration of the municipality of Senigallia (AN ), was an intervention to improve the use of the coast for tourism, sporting and recreational purposes, and the aim has been fully achieved, as the port is increasingly frequented by families or by those who love practising outdoor sports caressed by the sea breeze.
The building, which has a steel bearing structure and wooden infill walls, consists of two parts (the "beach house" itself, measuring around 66 square metres, and a projecting roof of 48 square metres). Materials such as wood, steel and glass were used to ensure that the structure blends harmoniously into the surrounding port area, with particular reference to the nearby fish market. A multi-purpose hall for meetings, conferences, demonstrations, recreational activities, exhibitions and toilets will be built inside the facility.
