The “Andrea Veronica” preschool - Corinaldo (AN)

A carefully designed system of volumes, simple shapes, colours and cheerfulness, a structure with light, enveloping bodies and fluid spaces, this is the new “Andrea Veronica” preschool inaugurated last year. Sunlight flows through the rooms and spaces (approximately 800 square metres on one floor) that have been designed to ensure the freest possible teaching, where very often at this age, play merges with learning.

For this reason, there are no corridors and the rooms are distributed around a central hall. The young users also have the opportunity to enjoy a green space of over 1,000 square metres, some of which can be used even when the weather is bad.

The project has become a reality after about two years of work, and has fully achieved its objective of creating a place where the architectural language, the use of wood materials, construction technologies, energy saving and production systems become a cue for direct learning and training of the new generations.

The school is part of a school campus that also includes a primary and middle school, and is located near the sports facilities.
