Steel and wood villa - Castelfidardo (AN)

"when opposites attract each other": this could be the phrase that sums up the meaning of this project that we realised in Castelfidardo (AN) in 2022.

Seemingly distant, materials such as steel and wood, when combined, can give rise to interesting results, clearly visible in the photo gallery. Glulam beams, thanks to their lightness and fire resistance, are very suitable for roofs, while the steel structure, thanks to its small footprint, guarantees maximum space habitability.

The dwelling in question is on one floor measuring approximately 220 square metres and has a porch of approximately 80 square metres surrounding the dwelling on three sides. The house also has a 20 square metre area set aside as a garage.

From an architectural point of view, the building consists of a horizontal parallelepiped, with the insertion of a central pitch facing south, both to give balance to the significant living space and to allow for a suitable and integrated application of the photovoltaic panels.

The dwelling is in energy class A3. Electrical energy production takes place through a photovoltaic system of approximately 8KW , which is sufficient to guarantee the operation of all facilities.
