Over the coming weeks, work will start on a new glulam house. The house is distinguished by its clean, minimalist lines, which blend harmoniously into the surrounding landscape. The glulam structure, with its warm, natural tones, creates a cosy and sophisticated look.
Large windows allow natural light to flood the interior spaces, creating a visual link with the outdoors and offering breathtaking views.
The house will be built in the Municipality of Monteprandone (AP ) which, like many other areas in Italy, is located in an earthquake zone. Thanks to its layered structure, glulam offers greater flexibility and strength than traditional materials such as concrete and steel. This feature allows our houses to absorb and dissipate seismic energy effectively, significantly reducing the risk of structural damage during a seismic event.
In addition to safety, our houses are designed to be extremely energy efficient. The use of glulam, combined with state-of-the-art insulation technologies, guarantees excellent thermal insulation. This results in significant energy savings, reducing the need for heating in winter and cooling in summer. In detail, the house will be equipped with a 6 kW photovoltaic system + heat pump and underfloor heating, which will help to minimise the environmental impact and reduce energy costs for the residents.
Living in a glulam house means not only safety and energy efficiency, but also a significant improvement in quality of life. Wood is a natural material that provides a healthy and comfortable living environment. Its hygroscopic properties help to maintain an optimal level of humidity inside the home, improving air quality and the well-being of the inhabitants. Wood also has a positive impact on room acoustics, reducing external noise and creating a quieter, more relaxing atmosphere.
The house will be on two levels. The ground floor will measure around 120 square metres and the first floor around 100 square metres, with 20 square metres of balconies. Every aspect, from the architecture to the interiors, sustainability and technology, has been designed to offer the ultimate in quality of life.
The house will be delivered on a turnkey basis and will be built using the “Subissati Platform Frame” construction technology
