New primary school opened - Numana (AN)

The opening of the new primary school “A. Elia” in Numana (AN) was a real party.

The cutting of the ribbon by Mayor Gianluigi Tombolini was witnessed not only by students and teachers, but also by numerous local residents. During the afternoon, participants were able to properly “experience” the new structures with games, laboratories, animated readings and a fantastic outdoor snack.

In addition to the whole of the municipal administration and the management team of the comprehensive institute “Giovanni Paolo II”, represented by the headmistress Annarita Durantini, Prefect Antonio D’Acunto, Quaestor Oreste Capocasa, Regional Councillor Moreno Pieroni and the Mayor of Sirolo Moreno Misiti also attended the event, together with parish priest Don Guerriero Giglioni, who blessed the structure before the ribbon was cut and many other figures of authority.

Clearly Francesco Subissati also attended the ceremony, with all our company’s technical staff.

The new school “A. Elia”, which is part of the new school hub, measures approximately 600 m2 and has been built as a single storey on reinforced concrete foundations. The lamellar wood structure was developed using “Subissati Platform Frame” construction technology.

The outdoor areas are covered by a large wooden pergola that develops along the whole of the front of the school.

From an architectonic viewpoint, this structure was designed and built in such a way as to ensure that all spaces are functional and, therefore, able to interact, making the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces less rigid and thereby offering various innovative teaching solutions.

Each class has its own garden, thereby enabling outdoor teaching activities and there is also a large multifunction classroom to be used for group activities. The colour used for the indoor and outdoor areas was chosen to adapt the structure to the surrounding environment and be functional to learning.

The new school, which boasts high energy performance, uses floor heating elements, whilst the air exchange system is guaranteed by an air exchange system that recovers heat.
