Double inauguration: the "Arcobaleno" nursery school and the new "Marchetti" gym – Senigallia (AN).

On Saturday, March 14, 2026, with the inauguration of the ‘Arcobaleno’ nursery school and the new multipurpose gym belonging to the same complex, the delivery to the community of Senigallia of the ‘Marchetti’ campus is completed. This project, carried out by the company Subissati, now represents one of the most significant school construction initiatives in the area, already partially handed over with the inauguration of the ‘Marchetti’ secondary school in September 2025.

The event, attended by the President of the Marche Region, Francesco Acquaroli, the Mayor Massimo Olivetti, local authorities, school staff, and numerous citizens, marked the conclusion of a process that began in March 2024.

Also present at the ceremony were Francesco Subissati, Paolo Subissati, and Matteo Subissati. It was Francesco Subissatiwho cut the inaugural ribbon of the new “Marchetti” gym, marking the final official step in handing over the facility to the city, also in the presence of the Senigallia athletics team, of which our company is a sponsor.

With the delivery of the last two buildings, already operational since January 2026, we at Subissati complete a project that has transformed the Saline area into a modern, safe, and sustainable school campus, designed to accompany students from early childhood through adolescence.

A project completed in a short timeframe.
The school campus was built in approximately one and a half years through a public-private partnership project, with a total investment of €13 million from various funding sources: around €3 million from the Ministry of Education, €2 million from the Energy Services Operator (GSE), and the remaining amount funded by the Municipality of Senigallia.

The complex covers a redeveloped area of over 18,500 square meters and includes:

- the “Marchetti” secondary school
- the “Arcobaleno” nursery school
- the new “Marchetti” multipurpose gym
An integrated system of educational spaces designed to meet the needs of contemporary teaching and the wider community.

The value of wood and sustainability.
In the Marchetti school campus project, wood plays a central role—not only as a construction material but as a design choice that combines innovation, sustainability, and quality of space.

The construction of energy-efficient and sustainable buildings reflects the community’s commitment to environmental sustainability. The use of eco-friendly materials and cutting-edge technologies helps reduce environmental impact and long-term operating costs.

This green approach not only improves air quality and reduces CO₂ emissions but also serves as an educational example for students, raising awareness about environmental issues and the importance of sustainable development.

Innovative spaces for education and sports.
The “Arcobaleno” nursery school, relocated from the historic site on Via delle Rose, has been designed according to the most modern educational standards, with bright environments, multidisciplinary classrooms, and spaces dedicated to learning activities.

Next to the school stands the new multipurpose gym, a facility measuring approximately 30x18 meters and certified by CONI, designed to host various sports disciplines and intended both for school activities and for use by local sports associations during extracurricular hours.

The structure is characterized by impressive wooden arches—an advanced and complex construction feature that gives the gym a distinctive architectural identity, combining design, functionality, and sustainability.

An “exceptional” school campus.
The quality and importance of this project were also highlighted by the school principal, Paola Filipponi, who described the new campus as an “exceptional school complex, an invaluable gift to the community,” emphasizing how students and staff feel fortunate to live and work in such modern and functional spaces.

Her words testify to the value of an intervention capable of concretely improving the quality of educational environments and school life.

An investment in the community’s future.
The new Marchetti school campus not only meets the educational and sports needs of the city of Senigallia but also represents a strategic investment in the sustainable future of the community.

By creating modern, safe, and sustainable spaces, the project contributes to improving citizens’ quality of life while promoting the economic and social growth of the area.

For Subissati, this project represents a concrete example of how timber construction can create innovative public infrastructure, combining construction quality, environmental sustainability, and value for the community.
