That of Gabicce Mare (PU) is the first example in Italy of a municipal building built entirely in wood and it was a great honour for our company to have taken part in such an important project.

The structure was opened last year and provides tangible evidence that a type of cutting-edge, sustainable, environmentally-friendly construction is indeed possible.

It all started when following the earthquake, the administration found itself faced with the need to adjust premises held to be unfit for use.

Need has given rise to virtue and, also thanks to a grant given by GSE, the mayor and administration have decided to develop an all-new structure.

A modern building in keeping with the times, which looks decisively to the future and stands over three floors measuring almost 1400 m2.

In addition to high construction standards and a secure structure peaks in energy savings.

The building is in fact classified as nZEB (nearly Zero Energy Building) and has therefore virtually zero consumptions, i.e. it is extremely high energy performance, not only eliminating CO2 production but also minimising heating and cooling consumptions, by means of the use of energy from renewable sources.

The building was constructed with "Platform Frame" building technology.
