The design for the new Integrated Day Centre that will be built in Jesi (AN), in the green area of the old people’s retirement home was presented to the press in the Pergolesi College.

Present at the conference were the Director of the College, Enrico Carrescia, the Superior of the Community, Fr. Tito  the local councillor for Health and Social Services, Maria Luisa Quaglieri, the architects, Catia Tombesi and Lando Pieragostini, our Sales Manager, Andrea Subissati, and the project manager, Cesare Morganti.

The day centre will be a space conceived for and dedicated to the old and aimed at supplementing and broadening the range of welfare services offered by the facility to the local area as well as offering day support to families.

The wooden structure of about 360 m2 with 90 metres of portico will be marked by the absence of architectural barriers and the spaces and finishing were designed to bestow the Centre with a warm, welcoming and inspiring atmosphere.

The guests of the centre will be able to carry out the proposed activities both inside and outside in the large green space, where a large porticoed space will offer continuity between the exterior and interior of the structure.

The building, as well as respecting all of the criteria in terms of seismic safety, was designed according to the principles of bioclimatic architecture, attempting to best utilise solar radiation, lighting and natural ventilation in order to obtain a high level of internal comfort and energy efficiency.

The day centre will have an A4 Energy classification and, thanks to the installation and construction choices, it will be an almost net zero energy (nZEB) building, with a reduction in the total energy requirements for the winter and summer air conditioning.

The building will be constructed with "Platform Frame" building technology.
