A new wooden school building was opened on Thursday, 11 April.

On Thursday, 11 April 2013, the school building completed for the Unione dei Comuni Belvedere, Ostrense, Morro D’Alba e San Marcello (AN) was officially opened.

This is a 3-storey building with the basement built from reinforced concrete and measuring approximately 250 m2 and the other two floors above ground, with wooden support structures for a total of approximately 1100 m2.

The construction was completed by our company in around 180 working days and early January, lessons were able to start regularly.

Today the public administrations are increasingly opting for wooden structures when building schools.
The choice of wood as a construction material is governed by the high performance offered by this material in structural terms, the significant seismic and fire resistance, in addition to its energy efficient, comfort granted by the internal micro-climate and the generalised desire to build natural, sustainable constructions.
