Begun at the beginning of May, a beautiful wooden building in Senigallia (AN) is in the final phase of completion.

The detached construction which develops over two floors will be delivered by our company with a turnkey solution.

On the ground floor there is the living area with a large kitchen and a living room, both with access to the external portico on the south side and to the garden. Still on the ground floor there is a bathroom, a laundry room, a utility room, a garage and another portico on the north side with an adjacent shade-giving pergola. The first floor which has three rooms, two bathrooms and a study is designed to be the night area.

The building is designed according to the principles of bioclimatic architecture.

It has a side closed to the north, while it is designed with ample openings to the south, where the eaves of the porch and colonnade allow for the bioclimatic self-regulation of the sun’s rays during the various seasons. In the east and west facades protection from the sun is given by the external roof shading blinds. The openings are arranged so as to ensure maximum efficiency of longitudinal and transversal ventilation. This will enable optimal summer cooling, enabling a provision for systems for winter heating only. In the interface towards the exterior, the building has a ventilation space in order to insulate the ground floor from contact with the earth, and a covering with a ventilated cavity wall. The exterior wall insulation guarantees the lack of thermal bridges. The use of wood and natural fibres allows for a construction that is, for the most part, natural, ecological and strongly insulated, and which in addition to the use of renewable energies, guarantees a high level of environmental sustainability.

The support structure of the walls was created with a Platform Frame type of frame system, while the ceilings between the different floors and roofing were made of supporting plywood panels. The thermo-ventilated roof has a final covering made of Canadian-style tiles.

The external finishing was created with plaster of two different colours; the eaves and drainpipes will be made of pre-varnished white and grey aluminium; the fixtures will be made of white pvc and the exterior flooring made of gres.

Class A+

The building is equipped with a radiating floor heating system powered by air-water electric heat pump. To contribute towards the energy needs using renewable energy sources, the building is equipped with a photovoltaic plant on the pitched roof exposed to the south-east with a total of 12 panels for an installed power of 3 KW. Such a system will allow the covering of energy needs from renewable sources to be brought to the threshold of 71.1%. The contribution of the photovoltaic system, in addition to the efficiency of the heating system and above all to the strong insulation of the cladding with control of the thermal bridges, gives the building an energy performance (Epi=11.92 KWh/m2) that is less than 20% of the legal limit, thereby corresponding to class A+.
