Safety and energy efficiency are the outstanding features of the new school building.

The school has been designed, supplied and built with an increased anti-seismic performance, by upgrading from Class III to Class IV, which means the building can be considered not only with significant crowding, but also that public or strategically important functions can take place there, including management of civil protection emergencies in the case of catastrophes, as dictated by the Technical Regulations contained in Ministerial Decree 14/01/2008. A wooden structure with the PLATFORM FRAME method will be used, which enables a greater dissipation of seismic energy, significantly increasing the ductility of the whole of the structural complex. The building also has a high fire resistance, totalling sixty minutes (R60)

“We have invested heavily in safety of our structures, above all else: this school is the reward for the sacrifices made and allows us to continue our quest to build reliable and environmentally sustainable structures" say a slightly emotional Paolo and Francesco Subissati”.

“Energy Class A4 and Almost Zero Energy” offers huge benefits in terms of energy saving: there are considerable financial savings in management, but also protection of the environment, since clean energy from renewable sources is generally used. “This is also a cultural issue," adds Andrea Subissati, "since school buildings must be safe, visually pleasant and attractive, but also places in which to bring up responsible citizens who care for and about the environment.”

The building has a total surface area of around 400 m2 and a further 50 m2 in an overhanging part near the large windows.
